Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests have had mixed experiences with cleanliness. Some found the property to be lovely and clean, while others noted issues with dust, cobwebs, and floors not being cleaned to their satisfaction upon arrival. The variation in feedback suggests that cleanliness is generally satisfactory, but there is room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to local attractions and amenities in Betws-y-Coed. The convenience for exploring Snowdonia and engaging in outdoor activities like walking, mountain biking, and visiting Zip World is a significant plus. However, some guests noted the tricky driveway and road noise.

Comfort levels are generally good, with the property being described as warm, spacious, and homely. However, some guests found the beds uncomfortable and the mattresses thin, which affected their sleep quality. The steep stairs were also noted, which may not suit everyone.

Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample space for guests. The wood burner is a highlight, although some guests were disappointed with the lack of firewood. Maintenance issues like loose toilet seats and missing shower components were mentioned, indicating some need for attention.

The owners' thoughtfulness is reflected in the provision of welcome treats like milk and biscuits, as well as the availability of games, books, and local information. However, it should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The house was lovely, anaxingviews from the windows, the kitchen is well equipped. Bedrooms were nicely decorated, the mattresses could have been firmer but we slept well. Good selection of DVDs available to watch. Great base for exploring Snowdonia NP. There are a variety of walks from outside the door. Head right and your in to Betwys, Fairy Glen is straight ahead and well worth the £1 a head. Swallow falls in further up for.£2 The house is off the A5 so you can hear traffic but it is not as bad as made out in other reviews. The driveway access is tight you need to swing out to get in and someone needs to guide you out, but that's no big deal. We're already planning on coming back next year. Dogs loved it too

Some areas were dirty, floors weren't cleaned upon our arrival as well as every dish in the cupboard being dirty. Visible mould in the bathroom and dust everywhere, which flared my sons asthma. We had to wash everything by hand too as no dishwasher. No mention of the tight driveway on the listing which proved tricky. The beds were all tiny doubles, with soft mattresses and pillows which we found impossible to get a good nights sleep.

It is literally off the busy A5 so there is traffic noise when relaxing on the patio at the front of the house. The stairs are very steep and as the only bathroom is upstairs it will not suit those with mobility issues. The lounge is a good size but quite cold and not homely. The fire place could be a real focal point. The sofa is not very comfortable and the lounge would definitely benefit from a large corner sofa given it's size. We were disappointed with the few logs supplied as a starter pack as these didn't last the evening. A tumble drier would be very useful given the wet weather. A security light in the back yard would also be very helpful. We had a lovely relaxing stay in a truly beautiful location and with a few changes, this could be a 5star holiday home.
