Spend sunny days on the sandy shores of Traeth Trearddur where you can marvel at the azure water of the bay heading out to the Irish Sea. History enthusiasts will be keen to explore the history woven throughout the Island, head to Goleudy Ynys Lawd which runs seasonal guided tours through its lighthouse that was built in 1809 or tour the Holyhead Maritime Museum. Here you can join the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path which spans an impressive 130 miles, it runs through Cemaes Bay, Amlwch and the historic town of Beaumaris. It's a terrific location for nature enthusiasts with abundance of rock pools, cliff top treks, and renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse rspb Reserve. Trearddur Bay itself has stores, bars, and restaurants, but Holyhead, which is close by, has a bigger selection of services. These include a first-rate leisure facility, an eye-catching harbour front, a marina, the second-longest breakwater in the world, and thrilling ferry rides to Dublin. You can enjoy hikes in the lovely Holyhead Breakwater Country Park and a fantastic cafe at the Maritime Museum in Holyhead.     (But heating a bit tricky to manage, even with instructions.) Great position just 10-15 minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. Area is wonderful for walking with Trearddur bay and Porth Dafarch beaches perfect for families. We’ve been coming to Anglesey for 40 years and we’re not tired of it yet!
