Snaptrip says

Blackadder Lodge is highly praised for its peaceful location, beautiful surroundings, and spacious, well-equipped accommodation. Guests appreciate the large, secure garden, particularly dog owners, and the property's cleanliness and comfort. The lodge's setting offers stunning wildlife encounters and is well-situated for local walks and amenities.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews consistently mention the lodge's cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'spotlessly clean' and 'very clean'. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.

The location is frequently highlighted for its tranquillity and natural beauty, with wildlife sightings and country walks directly accessible. Its proximity to local towns and amenities is also appreciated, making it a well-regarded base for exploring the area.

Guests find the lodge comfortable, noting the cosy atmosphere, warm environment, and comfortable beds. The spaciousness and suitability for both elderly guests and pets add to the comfort level experienced by visitors.

The lodge is praised for being well-equipped and having a good Wi-Fi connection. Some minor suggestions for additional cutlery and crockery, as well as maintenance of outdoor areas, slightly affect the score. However, the overall facilities meet guests' needs effectively.

While guests mention a welcome box of goodies and complimentary items, there is not enough consistent detail across reviews to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gestures are appreciated but not guaranteed.

Chirnside is situated on a bluff above the River Whiteadder, with breathtaking views of the Cheviot and Lammermuir Hills. A 16th century dovecot and a lovely parish church, thought to date back to the 12th century, are just two of the village's many notable landmarks. The Jim Clark Rally, the only 'closed roads' event on mainland Britain, is held in and around the Borders every summer as a tribute to the village's native son.

The lodge was spotlessly clean. Very comfortable and a good location for exploring both sides of the border.

View was excellent. Dogs loves the large garden and we had no worries about them being out and wandering around. As we had rain on a few days we thought some sort of non-slip area on the decking between/on the steps and the sliding door would be good(even the window cleaner was sliding about). It was slippery and a walk round to the side gate to get in the garden to clear up poop was often a wet one. We did have a bit of trouble understanding the Roku TV as it's not something we were used to. We didn't have a sheet with contact details such as doctor, hospital or vet, although our friends in Whiteadder did. All in all a lovely holiday. Thank you.

Outstanding views from the properties and excellent garden for the dogs. We booked both properties so we could spend time with family. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to get away from he busy lives we all have and to be able to relax. We booked both cabins for next August with family before we left site, everything is amazing.
