Snaptrip says

Lamb Cottage is praised for its stunning views, spaciousness, and comfortable beds. Its location is ideal for exploring local attractions and the Antrim coast. Guests appreciate the well-equipped property and the peaceful surroundings, making it a great choice for a relaxing holiday.

Guests that stayed at this property said

While many guests found the property clean and well-presented, there were several mentions of issues such as dog hairs, dirty windows, and an unclean oven. These recurring cleanliness concerns have led to a slightly above average score.

The location is highly praised for its exceptional views and proximity to Ballycastle and tourist spots. The rural setting offers tranquillity and convenience, contributing to a high score in this category.

Guests consistently mention the comfort of the beds and the spaciousness of the property. The presence of multiple living spaces and a well-maintained interior adds to the overall comfort level.

The property is well-equipped with games, books, and a Nespresso machine. However, there are remarks about missing basic kitchen utensils and the lack of instructions for appliances and refuse collection. These oversights slightly diminish the facilities score.

There is insufficient information to accurately score thoughtfulness. While some guests mention a lack of a welcome pack, others note the inclusion of tea/coffee packs. Without consistent references to gifts or additional thoughtful touches, a score cannot be provided.

About this property

Lamb Cottage is a spacious three-bedroom house in Ballycastle, recognised as the best place to live in 2022 in Northern Ireland, and is the perfect place to come if you want to spend some quality time with your loved ones. The house is sleek, bright, and airy, and has all amenities for a self-catered stay while boasting tremendous views across the Atlantic Ocean, The Mull of Kintryre, and RathlinIsland, whilst within easy reach of the local town and beach, making it ideal for families, couples or groups of friends looking for a relaxing break away; the property welcomes up to eight guests. Inside, the first-floor open-plan living space gives the house a spacious and calm ambience, with large windows overlooking Ballycastle and the Causeway coastline, Velux windows, and a kitchen with all the appliances you could need, including a handy dishwasher. The sitting area is kitted out with a wood-burning stove and a Smart TV, perfect for cosying up in the chillier evenings after a day of exploring. Completing the space is the dining area, fit for enjoying a home-cooked meal or just planning an adventurous day. From here, the family bathroom has a shower over the bath for a quick freshen up, along with a bathtub for soaking your muscles. When sleep calls, all three bedrooms are furnished with a magnificent king-size bed where you can catch your rest, along with an additional double sofa bed in the sitting room; the first bedroom is on the ground floor and has an en-suite shower room, providing you with a relaxing morning getting ready in style, while the second- and third-bedrooms rests on the first floor. Finishing off the interior is the utility room, fitted with a washing machine and a tumble dryer, so you can keep your clothes and towels fresh throughout your stay. For a peaceful walk and a picnic, why not make your way to The Dark Hedges, an 18th-century avenue lined with intertwined beech trees, making for an idyllic wander. Lamb cottage itself is amazing , clean, spacious, and well equipped, I have just 2 tiny gripes, the information on lamb cottage says enclosed garden, sorry but no, there is a 10 foot gap in the wall where you drive in without a gate, also, you need to take your own cleaning supplies because none are provided, but apart from these small things I am looking forward to going back again soon, a fabulous holiday in a beautiful setting and house

With very peaceful surroundings. Close to all amenities a great small town and a beautiful beach. The cottage itself has everything you need and is very well maintained. Clean and very comfortable. This will not be my last visit.
