Snaptrip says

The Feversham in York is praised for its excellent location, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches like Prosecco and chocolates. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to the city centre, the comfort of the bed, and the convenience of having a Sainsbury's nearby. While some guests mention issues with maintenance and comfort, the majority report a pleasant stay, highlighting the property's suitability for city exploration and its cosy atmosphere.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found The Feversham to be clean and tidy, with only a few mentioning issues such as mould spots and cobwebs. The positive remarks about cleanliness from the majority suggest a high standard is typically maintained.

The location is highly praised for being close to the city centre and within walking distance of York's main attractions. The convenience of having a supermarket nearby and private parking is frequently appreciated by guests.

Guests generally find the bed comfortable and the apartment cosy, although some mention the flat being small and issues with a draughty window and uncomfortable sofa. The positive comments about the bed and cosiness suggest a good level of comfort overall.

Facilities are well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and the bonus of a Nespresso machine. However, there are several remarks about maintenance issues such as problems with the shower, washing machine, and lighting, which slightly lower the score.

Many guests mention thoughtful gestures such as a welcome bottle of Prosecco and chocolates, which contribute to a positive experience. However, as these gifts are not mentioned by all reviewers, they may not be a consistent offering for every stay.

About this property

The Feversham is just moments from the heart of the beautiful city of York. This second floor studio apartment provides a cosy and peaceful retreat for exploring the city and beyond, together with secure bike storage and allocated off road parking. It is situated in a splendidly restored Georgian House, formerly the nurses quarters to the County Hospital which was built in 1903. The shared walled gardens have a stunning view of York Minster and the ancient city walls to enjoy. Feversham House has been converted into stylish apartments providing city living at its best. Beautifully decorated, this fully-equipped property offers everything you could possibly need, giving you the perfect choice for eating out or dining in. There is an abundance of history and culture on the doorstep, mouthwatering restaurants, boutique shopping and stunning green spaces which offer a perfect backdrop to the city. The iconic York Minster is only minutes away on foot and much of York's centre is pedestrianised making shopping an absolute pleasure, plus river walks, parks and boat trips abound. The Feversham is the perfect bolt hole for exploring the best of what York and Yorkshire has to offer.

The city of York needs no recommendation, for it teems with interest for the holidaymaker: the Minster, medieval walls, boat trips on the River Ouse, York Races, museums (including the famous National Railway Museum and the Castle Museum), and the internationally-renowned Jorvik Viking Centre and its "time trip" experience.

The flat exceeded our expectations, it was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It’s located in a lovely building, which is very clean and quiet on the top floor. The owner left a bottle of Prosecco and some chocolates which was a nice touch, along with some nespresso capsules to get you started. The hot water was hot and plentiful and we had no issues with the shower. The bathroom has a radiator with a rack for towels which was nice. All toiletries are provided and looked of good quality, although we used our own. We found it really well equipped and comfortable and will definitely return if available. The allocated car parking space is a real bonus, however be aware that a bit of manoeuvring is required if you have a largish car/SUV and the adjacent spaces are occupied.

Good facilities within the flat as advertised but don't bring a hairdryer as one is provided. Moreover a supermarket right behind the flat, here's a hint apply for a Sainsbury nectar card and save some cash. Host leaves a bottle of Prosecco, nice touch.

Everything we needed was there. There's not a lot you can do (apart from new windows but it's prob a listed building) but we found sitting on the couch our backs were cold due to the sash window, is it single glazed? Perhaps thermal curtains could be used in winter. Oh and the fan in bathroom was not working. But those small points did not detract us from having a great week in The Feversham, enjoyed it so much that we have already booked to stay again next December.
