Snaptrip says

Redmayne Cottage in Whitby is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and convenient location. Guests appreciate the enclosed garden, especially those with dogs, and the property's proximity to local walks and town centre. The thoughtful touches, such as welcome gifts, add to the positive experience, although they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests report the cottage as spotless and well-maintained, contributing to a relaxing stay. A few mentions of dust and a need for deep cleaning slightly affect the score, but overall, the property is commended for its cleanliness.

The cottage's location is frequently highlighted as quiet and ideal, with easy access to Whitby and the Cinder Track for walks. Its proximity to both town and countryside is a significant plus, although the steep walk back from town may be challenging for some.

Guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, with a secure garden and good heating control. Some guests noted issues with mattress comfort and seating, but overall, the property is considered a comfortable base for exploring the area.

The cottage is well-equipped, with a smart TV and a well-appointed kitchen. However, there are comments about the need for maintenance, such as sticking doors and windows, and the freezer's awkward placement. These issues slightly detract from an otherwise positive view of the facilities.

While several guests mention welcome gifts such as milk and biscuits, there are not enough references to consistently assess the thoughtfulness of the host across all stays. Therefore, while these touches are appreciated, they are not guaranteed and the score is set to null.

It was easy to find the parking space and access the property. We walked into Whitby which did take less than 20 minutes but it should be noted that the steep walk back and 60+ steps up from the Cinder Track might not be for everyone.
