The majority of guests found the cottage comfortable, with great beds and showers, and ample space for large groups. A few guests mentioned issues with a hard mattress and a creaky bed, but these comments were not widespread.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the kitchen and extra fridge space. However, some maintenance issues like a broken airer, a locked door, and attention needed for the garden and windows slightly affected the overall experience.

An attractive, stone-built semi-detached barn conversion, situated on the fringe of the popular seaside town of Whitby. With flexible accommodation and room to spread out, this lovely cottage is ideal for families and friends to get together and enjoy the many attractions that this wonderful part of the country has to offer. Traditionally furnished and styled, there is a spacious sitting room. A smaller, snug sitting room is perfect for the younger members of the family to gather, whilst dining can be taken in the well-equipped kitchen or in the large, sunny conservatory. The conservatory opens onto a rear, enclosed lawned garden with paved patio - a sheltered and private area in which to relax in the sunshine. Also on the ground floor is an easy access king-size bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The first floor has five comfortable bedrooms, with the largest having the bonus of an en-suite. With the luxury of underfloor heating on the ground floor and off road parking for four cars, this cottage will not disappoint. An easy walk brings you into the hub of this historic and atmospheric town, with quaint cobble stoned streets, a picturesque harbour and long, sandy beaches. Whitby in North Yorkshire remains one of the regions most popular tourist hotspots, and with good reason. The town is at the mouth of the River Esk, and this old fishing port retains mush character in its winding streets and hidden alleys. There is a picturesque harbour, sandy beach and the famous Whitby Abbey. Close to other seaside destinations such as Scarborough, Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby is also ideally placed for heading inland and exploring the beautiful countryside of the North York Moors National Park.

    Lovely roomy cottage for our large family get together again. Only small niggle is the low step between the dining room into the small lounge/ toilet utility room on the ground floor could do with some tape on to highlight the difference in floors as we all kept tripping. But we loved our stay and will hopefully be booking to return again. Thank you.

    Everything we could need was in the cottage- the extra fridge and separate freezer bonus, plenty of rooms lower ground floor so people could have a quiet sit! Crockery & glasses plentiful - fantastic place would highly recommend it for a large family gathering- secure gardens and parking. A big thank you
