An attractive stone and pantile cottage, situated in the pretty village of Cropton in the North York Moors National Park. Warm and welcoming, this grade II listed cottage has been lovingly restored to provide traditional, homely accommodation, ideal for families and friends wishing to explore this beautiful area. Many original features have been retained in this period property, such as beamed ceilings, salt cupboards and a stone fireplace. A narrow cottage staircase leads up to the two bedrooms.The cosy sitting room provides comfortable seating and a warming woodburning stove, perfect to relax around in cooler evenings, whilst the bathroom boasts a roll-top bath, perfect to soak in after a day's walking! Outside is a front lawned cottage style garden and a rear, enclosed garden, perfect to sit in with a morning coffee. The cottage is comfortable, well equipped and dog friendly with walks from the door. Our host was very quick to fix a minor issue with the bath tap. The pub next door is friendly, has a good selection of beers and wines and there was no discernible noise coming from it. We would definitely recommend this cottage and would gladly return should our travels take us back to North Yorkshire.

It is only a few minutes drive from Pickering for stopping up supplies and was central to some of the places we wanted to visit. The property and the gardens were very well presented and even had some bird food for the garden feeders and some doggie biscuits supplied by the owners. Just one issue was the shower which went from hot to cold every minute or so.....had to be ready to step away!!!!
