We loved exploring the area and found it to be a peaceful retreat. It was everything we needed, particularly with a little one. Thanks for the warm welcome and the great recommendations.

Just for 3 nights combining pleasure and visiting family. Can highly recommend the blacksmith pup nearby, dog friendly and huge meal. I had the mixed grill enough for following day. Whitegates nursery for full monty. Excellent. Back later in the year

The lodge is spacious & comfortable, well heated and all on one level. The owner is on hand to answer questions & we used the bike storage that was available. This was our second stay - we love the ever changing views across the fields. Wi-Fi is unreliable.
