Snaptrip says

Dyson House is a spacious and well-located cottage in Skipton, ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Guests have praised its comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and the inclusion of games and local tourist brochures. The property's original features and decorative touches add to its charm, and the owners are noted for their helpfulness.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is generally well-kept, with only a minor mention of dust under the beds. This suggests a high level of cleanliness throughout, although attention to detail could be improved.

The location is appreciated for its proximity to the village railway station and ease of exploring North Yorkshire. However, the busy road and associated noise have been noted as drawbacks by some guests.

Guests find the beds very comfortable and the house spacious. Some guests mentioned that the living room furniture could be more comfortable, indicating room for improvement.

The kitchen is well-appointed, and the house is equipped with games and a good-sized TV. However, there are comments about maintenance issues such as a faulty oven door and some shabby aspects, suggesting that some facilities may need updating.

The provision of milk, tea, and coffee upon arrival, as well as brochures for local attractions, demonstrate thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gestures are appreciated but not guaranteed for every stay.

We were really worried we'd break it as no clear way to close it. *The living and dining rooms were very dark and cold have done with more side lights. *The hall down to the front door (which we didn't use at all) could do with coat hooks as we piled the bench high with coats.

Upon arrival, there was some milk, tea and coffee provided which was a nice gesture. The cottage is a great base for walking and a visit to Malham to see the cove and Janet’s Foss. After a 12 mile walk, Dyson House is a great place to come home and relax. There were a few areas which could be improved, the kitchen was lacking some utensils such as small sharp knives for chopping and the oven door was faulty as it struggled to close. The hinge on the left hand side is not secured in properly which caused problems during the stay. Another minor issue, was that in some areas of the home there are damp spots where wallpaper is starting to peel, which is something to watch in the future. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay at Dyson House and would consider this cottage to stay in the future.

Slightly limited space in the 3rd double was tricky for those with mobility issues. The property is on a busy road, but the double glazing effectively blocks the noise. Great access to the village railway station.
