Snaptrip says

New Inn Cottage in Cardington is a charming and well-equipped property praised for its beautiful location and rural charm. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, the welcoming wood burner, and the AGA that keeps the cottage warm. The village's tranquillity and the proximity to walking trails add to the appeal, although some guests noted issues with comfort and maintenance.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with mentions of it being 'spotlessly clean' and 'very clean'. However, a few guests noted dust and cobwebs, suggesting room for improvement in this area.

The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, beauty, and proximity to walking trails and countryside. The village's attractiveness and the ability to start walks from the front door are frequently mentioned positives.

While the bedroom area and bed receive compliments for comfort, several guests found the sofa uncomfortable. The lack of privacy due to missing blinds and the heat from the AGA during warmer months were also concerns affecting comfort.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and modern shower room. However, there are negative comments about the lack of parking on site, the uncomfortable sofa, and the absence of a microwave, which suggest that some facilities could be improved.

While guests mention a welcome pack, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency or quality of these gifts across all reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score for thoughtfulness.

Really friendly welcome from Sue Lovely space Just perfect for the 2 of us. Generous welcome pack - also very useful as we stayed only 3 nights. Perfect location with walks from the door despite the heavy rain and mud - quiet roads also to walk on and a local pub Only gripe is the sofa which looked really comfy but really wasn’t

Cosy, charming cottage in a beautiful village with lovely inhabitants. Greeted by owner Sue on arrival with the wood burner already lit. The AGA kept the cottage warm while we were out during the day but the fire was a bonus in the evenings. Great place to set off on walks into the Shropshire countryside and close to lovely Ludlow and Shrewsbury. The village pub - The Royal Oak - also great for meals. Busy for Sunday lunch!

There are no downstairs curtains or blinds which leaves one feeling exposed. The Aga is OK if you have one at home and have the required knowledge of how to use it, otherwise cooking is really a non starter especially as there is no Microwave, strange indeed, every kitchen has one, but not here. Also, the Aga is knocking out massive amounts of heat that convects upstairs, nice in winter but it would be too much in summer. The sofa is very uncomfortable unless your natural seating position is bad posture slouching. Just a few faults that could be easily modified and then the cottage would rate at 5 stars!
