Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being very clean and tidy. There are no significant complaints about cleanliness, indicating that guests are generally satisfied with the standard of hygiene.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, beautiful views, and proximity to walking trails and local pubs. It is described as an ideal base for exploring the Shropshire hills, with guests appreciating the rural setting and easy access to nature.

Comfort is well-regarded, with guests finding the bed comfortable and the cottage cosy. However, some guests mention issues with hot water and heating controls, and a few found the settee and bed less comfortable on a subsequent visit, slightly lowering the score.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living space. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a running toilet cistern, missing dishwasher knob, and the need for more chopping boards and hooks for coats. These issues suggest room for improvement.

While the reviews reflect a thoughtful host and a well-equipped cottage, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score is set to null due to insufficient information.

There were a few glitches regarding hot water but that was remedied by the owner very promptly. Our only complaint was that the outside of the property was not dog proof.

  • Irene

The owner supplied all the extras like washing up liquid, kitchen towels, plus lots of other things. Waking up surrounded by open country side was very nice.
