Snaptrip says

Keepers Cottage in Sidmouth, Devon, is praised for its comfortable furnishings, well-equipped kitchen, and stunning views. Guests appreciate the modern bathroom facilities, spacious living area, and the property's proximity to the Jurassic Coast and local attractions. The peaceful setting and the presence of a nearby Donkey Sanctuary add to the charm. Some concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance of the surrounding site are noted, but the cottage itself receives commendation for its amenities and homely feel.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with several guests finding it clean and well-presented. However, a few guests noted issues such as cobwebs, dust, and a grubby oven, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is highly praised for its quiet setting, lovely views, and proximity to the Donkey Sanctuary and Sidmouth town. It is considered an ideal base for exploring the Jurassic Coast, contributing to a high score.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the heating adequate, contributing to a cosy stay. Some guests mentioned the need for better mattresses in the single rooms and more bedding, which slightly affects the comfort score.

The property is commended for its well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom facilities. However, comments about the need for updates to mattresses and the run-down appearance of the surrounding holiday park facilities impact the score.

While guests have expressed appreciation for the property and its amenities, there is no specific mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so a score cannot be given in this category.

The closed reception and pool/ restaurant looks very tatty and needs a serious update . Though the donkey sanctuary surrounding the site is a bonus .

The rooms warmed up quickly and we were very cosy for the times we spent in the property. Lovely view of the sea and the main room was comfortable and light. A few plates and some of the cutlery required a wash, but possibly from not being cleaned properly in the dishwasher which we didn't use.

It was clean and comfortable. Sadly the surroundings were disappointing as the road and path structure on the site were very poor we had to walk through mud or long grass to get in and out of the cottage. We were thankful for the advice on the website of previous guests who passed their cases from the car park area through the bedroom window!
