Snaptrip says

Bayview Cottage is praised for its excellent location, spaciousness, and suitability for families and pets, with a large garden and proximity to beaches and nature reserves. While some guests found the property comfortable and well-equipped, others noted areas for improvement, particularly in maintenance and cleanliness.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests have generally found the property to be clean, though there are instances where cleanliness was not up to standard, including a report of a late cleaning on arrival. This suggests room for improvement in ensuring consistent cleanliness for all guests.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, nature reserves, and dog-friendly areas, making it an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts and pet owners. However, some guests noted the presence of street lighting and traffic which may affect those sensitive to light and noise.

The property is generally considered comfortable, with ample space and a large bath. However, some guests found the beds too low and the bath difficult to access, particularly for those with mobility issues, which affects the overall comfort score.

The cottage is well-equipped with a large TV and good kitchen amenities. However, guests have reported issues with the bath, garden furniture, and heating system, indicating a need for better maintenance and possibly some updates to the facilities.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owners towards the guests. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Blackout curtains would be a useful addition to the front bedroom. The property is very tired. Two of the beds are very low to the ground and soft. The garden furniture is very old and some chairs are broken. The cooker hood extractor and fan didn't work. The worst problem was the bath which was unsafe if you have any mobility issues. It is enormous and has no grab rails so getting in and out is extremely difficult if you have any mobility issues. My wife refused to use it. How did it pass any safety assessment? It would also have been useful if there had been any instructions for some of the equipment. We never did manage to work out how and when the heating was supposed to work as it seemed to turn on at random times of the day and the middle of the night

The property was not very clean either. The beds, although reasonably comfortable, 1 was very low, virtually on the floor. The garden furniture is old and when 2 of the chairs were sat on they broke, had to use the dinning chairs outside as didn't want to risk any more chairs breaking.

Advertised that it takes 8 but it only has one toilet so that would not be ideal. The bath in the property is ridiculous, I cannot believe it passed a risk assessment. No steadying bars no slip mats. The property is more suited to summer high temperature holidays as it is a very cold bungalow without heating. When the heating worked it was fine but a bit hit and miss. Booking with Sykes was all ok.
