Snaptrip says

Guests appreciate the property's excellent location, often highlighting its proximity to the beach and Yarmouth. The property is generally seen as clean and comfortable, with a friendly owner responsive to issues. However, there are recurring suggestions for updates, particularly regarding the fridge and shower facilities. The charm of the property and its suitability for dog owners are frequently mentioned positives.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is mostly described as clean and tidy, especially by guests who appreciated the cleanliness in relation to their pets. However, some guests mentioned issues with shower cleanliness and dust, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is consistently praised for its tranquillity, proximity to the sea, and the convenience of nearby amenities. It's a highlight for many guests, contributing to a high score in this category.

Comfort receives a moderate score due to mixed feedback. While some guests found the property comfortable, others suggested improvements in bedding and seating, noting that certain furniture was not as comfortable as expected.

Facilities and maintenance have room for improvement. Guests frequently requested a fridge with a freezer compartment and remarked on the need for better shower facilities. Positive responses to the owner's prompt resolution of issues prevent a lower score.

There is insufficient information regarding the presence of thoughtful gestures such as gifts, and therefore, a score cannot be provided. Guests have not mentioned any specific thoughtful touches that would influence this category.

About this property

This charming beachfront Yarmouth coastal cottage apartment offers a warm rustic open plan living accommodation with fantastic panoramic coastal views across the Solent towards the mainland from the upper floor. This Yarmouth cottage is a converted old boathouse, and now consists of a loft-style bedroom, while on the ground floor you can unwind on the inviting sofa, planning your next day’s activities. From your patio, why not enjoy a walk along the shingle beach, while enjoying the ever-changing scenery and sometimes extremely dramatic waters of the Solent? The perfect romantic coastal retreat. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 4220, 4221, 4222, 905105, 905107 and 906577, together they sleep 20.

The attractive seaside town of Yarmouth is the oldest town on the Isle of Wight, and its busy harbour is a haven for all kinds of watercraft, with the terminal used for regular mainland ferry crossings. Yarmouth's narrow streets are home to an array of shops and inns, whilst a visit to Henry viii's castle is not to be missed. There's great cycling and walking to be had along the coastal path, or why not take an energetic stroll across to the nearby Tennyson Down? Sandhard beach is 15 minutes' walk away, and is ideal for swimming and crabbing from the jetty. 4 miles away is Compton beach, famous for dinosaur remains; go there at low tide and see if you can find the two enormous three-toed feet. West Wight is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Yarmouth is an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful island.

Great location for dog owners. Lovely walks on the beach and in the country park on your doorstep. Quiet and relaxing with the cafe nearby. Also walking distance to Yarmouth with many lovely places to see and eat such as King Henry's castle and Salties. Minor detail - Could have done without cover on sofa as it kept coming off. A great place to relax and explore.

. Dog loved it there , we loved it there.. Owner more than helpful and friendly.. Cleaning ladies really nice too. Cafe next door and staff fab.. Would highly recommend,. Personally would prefer a sofa which i am able to lie down on to rest. So for me the only downfall was uncomfortable sofa. Decking was great to sit out on and watch the sea, we actually saw a seal swim by! adding to the delight of our stay. Was pleasantly surprised could not hear others through walls. Would definitely stay there again for the peace and tranquility.

The picture shown when booking insulated the accommodation faced the sea -this was not the case -which was disappointing. Also at no point in the literature did it state you couldn’t swim in this area. The kitchen facilities were very basic -to the point that we are were unable to cook means . Parking was not allocated -needs to be allocated per rental . Bed mattresses was cheap and uncomfortable . Overall the accommodation has been converted with minimum thought given to those who are staying -such a shame .
