Snaptrip says

Manifold Cottage is highly praised for its peaceful location, stunning views, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the cosy comfort, the cleanliness, and the thoughtful touches such as welcome packs. The lack of amenities in the village is offset by the cottage's charm and the abundance of nearby walks. Some guests mention the low water pressure in the shower and the absence of Wi-Fi, but these are minor points in otherwise glowing reviews.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The location is frequently described as peaceful, with beautiful views and good access to walks and local attractions. The quiet village setting is appreciated, although the lack of local amenities is noted.

Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable. The warm welcome and cosy atmosphere contribute to the high comfort level.

Facilities are generally good, but several guests mention issues with the shower's water pressure. The lack of Wi-Fi and phone signal is noted, although not always negatively. The presence of basic provisions and cooking facilities is appreciated.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, providing welcome packs and dog treats. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is noted that such extras are a courtesy and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The owner lives next door and she is very hospitable and friendly. Would love to go back to stay there.

The cottage has everything needed for a relaxing break. Only thing we found is if you want to eat out locally then options are limited especially at busy times like Easter there are only 2 pubs, and they get booked up quickly. Both are in walking distance but a good hour by road, however we did get a taxi home on the couple of times we visited with just a small extra charge for the dog. There are lovely walks right on the doorstep and the view from the garden is to die for. The cottage is ideally located for you to just hide away or visit the many attractions the Derbyshire dales has to offer.

I love the peace and quiet. Didn’t like the battery air freshener noise as it kept walking me up and making me jump in the stillness. So I removed the battery. Only thing I struggled with was the amount of hot water for my shower as I have a lot of hair. But it wasn’t really a problem and I’m sure I could have remedied that if I could have been bothered. I love staying there for the quiet and solitude. May well be back, some day, if only to pat the horses. A quiet, solitary retreat.
