As you turn through the gates of Kirklinton Hall prepare to be transported to another world as the impressive remains of Kirklinton Hall come into full view.
The Courtyard created from the Hall’s carriage house, combines many original features with everyday comforts, with stone floors and underfloor heating throughout. Step indoors and be wowed by the open-plan living space, with exposed stonework, original beams and a woodburning stove. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a large breakfast island, along with a dining table to gather around for relaxed evening meals. A delightful, well-stocked town in northern Cumbria that runs alongside the River Esk. Longtown is a fantastic base for a holiday as it comes in the centre of four Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including Solway Coast aonb, the Northumberland National Park, North Pennines aonb and the Lake District National Park.The local area offers a pleasant range of shops, pubs and restaurants for you to choose from. There are some beautiful places nearby, offering even more places to go and things to do. Brampton and Carlisle are nearby with beautiful buildings. As Longtown is so close to Scotland, it would be rude not to visit Dumfries and Galloway. Edinburgh and Glasgow are just over an hours drive away.

Peace and tranquility. Spotless accommodation. Very comfortable beds and surroundings, which were spacious and yet cosy. The hosts could not have been better, being very friendly and professional. The private grounds were a major asset especially with being dog owners. There was an unexpected welcome pack of tasty treats. The immediate location is superb. The strategic location is superb being between 4 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We found that we could do as little or as much as we wished. Itâs just like something out of a magazine and itâs so peaceful where the surrounding grounds are private. Perfect for escaping everyday life and soaking in a bit of the countryside.

Very comfortable. Peaceful. We had very good nights of sleep. The owners were very friendly and we were welcomed with lovely treats and wine on our arrival. Spotlessly clean. With a good eye for detail. Warm and cosy with the log burner and underfloor heating. Thank you George and Jess for a wonderful holiday.
