The accommodation has been really well designed and will make you love spending time here. There are walking and cycling routes on the doorstep including trails along the River Esk.
Gretna Green is just 6 miles away and is home to the Greta Gateway shopping outlet, as well as the old Blacksmiths Shop, which has now been converted into a restaurant. Carlisle with its blend of historic castle, Cathedral and modern restaurants, bars and shopping is just 10 miles away. The Northern Lake District including Keswick and Ullswater and the Western Lake District are within an hour's drive, offering plenty of fantastic walking opportunities

We stayed for 3 nights and was blown away by the location. Stunning area. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side, but we were very excited to see the hot tub now has a shelter built over it which suited us perfectly! The pictures here really need to be updated.. it's alot more private than the photos suggest, with a thick hedge one side, separating it from the property next door, and a privacy fence enclosing the rear and the hot tub side. As you open the doors in the morning, you are greeted with a gorgeous view of a stream, and if you're lucky you may see deer up on the hill opposite. All in all, our stay was perfect.
