The property's location in Chester, close to local pubs and within driving distance of attractions, is appreciated by guests. The peaceful setting in North Wales & Snowdonia adds to the charm, although a few guests mentioned minor issues with road noise in one bedroom.

This outstanding, country home is set on a private cobbled courtyard in the village of Mickle Trafford, less than 3 miles from Chester City centre. This stunning period property oozes character and quality in its fixtures and fittings, having been carefully upgraded over many years by its existing owner and is perfect for those wishing to celebrate a special occasion. The main sitting room retains a feeling of informal grandeur, with elegant seating in the main area and informal cushioned window seats in the large bay window overlooking the pretty garden. A second snug reception room with garden doors leads through to the kitchen and dining area with breakfast counter and cosy dining table. A former servant's staircase leads up to the Cottage room, a romantic double bedroom with private balcony and en-suite bathroom. The main oak staircase winds up to three more bedrooms; the Balcony room with balcony and super king-size double bed with stylish en-suite facilities featuring a walk- in shower, the State room with an impressive emperor double bed, exposed oak wall frame and beams and master en-suite with double-ended bath, walk-in shower, bidet and twin basins, and the Green room which is equally well-furnished with a super king-size double bed with an en-suite bathroom and seating area. A second floor staircase leads you to the stylish and characterful Top room, furnished in an elegant 1950s style, and featuring a super king-size double bed and en-suite facilities. A summerhouse across the garden provides a tranquil heated retreat, allowing you to look back and admire the house and garden, and of course a property of this standard would not be complete with a hot tub to slip into for a well-earned pamper. For an added touch of luxury, end each day in style with an indulgent seat amongst the warmth of the elegant sauna whilst the little ones keep themselves entertained with a game of air hockey, pool or table football in the thrilling games room. Chester is home to excellent shopping and there are plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from. Why not pay a visit to Chester Cathedral or perhaps take a boat trip along the beautiful River Dee and for animal and nature lovers no trip to Chester would be complete without a visit to Chester Zoo or the nearby Blue Planet Aquarium. This superb cottage will provide a truly memorable holiday for anyone lucky enough to stay in this fantastic holiday home.

Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture.

Amazing lady’s weekend away, the house I so well located for Cheshire Oaks, Chester Zoo etc. The house has lots of parking, amazing games room and activities, comfy beds, every room is en-suite, you could stay here and not need to leave the house. Perfect for families too. We had absolutely everything we needed and loved the little touches Sam left. Can’t wait to return! Thank you

Beautiful fresh flowers everywhere. Easter decorations delighted the grandchildren.Wonderful welcome basket.Sammi was delightful and I felt able to contact her if required. The manor was great as previous reviews have said the games room suited all the family young and old. The kitchen having 2 fridge freezers extremely useful when there are 10 of you.Although the weather wasn’t the best we still had a lovely time.

Sam and her father were very helpful too. just a few points, which in no way affected our visit 1 No downstairs toilet. Very strange in such a large house. 2 Could do with double glazing in the large bedroom facing the road 3 One or two of the many sofas could do with upgrading.
