Sandbach is a large, historic market town near the M6 in Cheshire that dates back to Saxon times, as evidenced by the famous Saxon Crosses that still stand in the cobblestone square. Numerous pubs and restaurants can be found throughout the city, in addition to numerous shops. The market square in the heart of Sandbach hosts regular weekly markets, a monthly farmers' market, and a fantastic Christmas market that keeps everyone happy. Brereton Heath Nature Reserve is a place to visit with beautiful walking trails and interesting wood sculptures. Visit St. Mary's Church, a Grade II-listed structure with beautiful stained glass windows and a tranquil churchyard, for something a little different.

The Cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed, it had been renovated to a very good standard.

Its a beautiful part of the country and Chris's tip of getting the train from Crewe to Liverpool was very helpful. On the very slightly negative the gesture of milk in fridge would have been appreciated.

  • Nigel

Owner on the site and friendly and helpful. Within an hour's travelling distance from various National Trust properties and not too far to travel to RHS Bridgewater. Would stay again.
