The cottage style kitchen is sure to encourage some home-cooking with a range cooker with five ring gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, while the dining table provides a lovely spot to enjoy meals amidst your loved ones. Carry the conversation in the sitting room where you can sink into the plush sofas and flick on the woodburning stove, or on a balmy day throw open the patio doors to allow a seamless transition to the outside. At the end of each fun-filled day, retire to either of the bedrooms with its crisp and clean linens being perfect for a relaxing evening with a good book, as well as there being ample storage for all your walking gear and more. Begin each day in the family bathroom with a refreshing shower or return here in the evening and set the temperature for a soothing bath. To complete this charming dwelling there is a lovely patio area which catches the sun all afternoon and evening with a table, chairs and a stone bench to relax on. Windermere village can be found just a short walk uphill and has an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants, whereas Bowness is a similar distance downhill and offers plenty more amenities including a cinema, Lake Cruises and a miniature golf course, so there’s no need to use the car on a daily basis. There are also many walks that can be enjoyed from the door including School Knot and Orrest Head which are rewarded with staggering views over the lakes and fells in the distance. Be sure to visit the National Trust owned Hill Top, which was once the home of Beatrix Potter, it now offers visitors a chance to see the 17th-century farmhouse where you can learn more about the author’s life with wonderful references throughout. In reach of Kendal, Coniston and beyond, MyInbeck is a delightful escape at any time of year.
The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.

A safety grip on upstairs bath would make showering safer. The en-suite shower was like a skating rink until we were supplied with mat this could also do with a hand grip.The steps going down to the car could also do with a hand rail.Although we enjoyed our holiday we would not return as it was too dangerous for people with mobility difficulties.Lovely houses d garden,everything best quality.Great place if you are fit..

Not happening. 2) It is listed as having a dishwasher but this was broken for our whole holiday. We reported it on the first day telling Sykes there was an error code âE01â . The maintenance men came & said â we canât fix thatâ & that was it, no dishwasher for the entire holiday. We also rang about a knocking noise in the downstairs bedroom & we were told someone would come and we never heard anything about that. My wife suggested we should be reimbursed for the lack of a dishwasher but not heard anything. All in all a disappointment. We do love the house but unfortunately canât afford your prices
