Snaptrip says

Jakanori is a well-received cottage in Staveley, praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, including the upside-down layout, electric showers, and dog-friendly amenities. The village's friendly atmosphere, local shops, and eateries add to the charm. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests planning return visits.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests report the cottage as 'spotlessly clean' and 'well-maintained', with only a few isolated comments about a damp smell. The positive remarks far outweigh the negatives, indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The location is consistently praised for its convenience, proximity to local amenities, and as a base for exploring the Lake District. The village of Staveley is described as vibrant and welcoming, with everything needed close by.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, mentioning 'exceptionally comfortable armchairs & beds' and appreciating the cosy living area. Some guests noted issues with mattress comfort and a cold ground floor, but these are relatively few.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen, electric showers, and a secure yard for dogs. However, some guests noted ongoing issues with damp and the need for a signal booster for the television, suggesting room for improvement in maintenance.

While many reviews express gratitude for the amenities and the welcoming nature of the cottage, there are no specific mentions of gifts provided by the owner. Therefore, it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness based on gifts, and the score is set to null.

It’s a brilliant location for access to Ambleside Windermere etc without getting snarled up in those villages. Really great and sociable layout to the living areas and very practical for dog owners. We were a multi generational party and everyone loved it. Staveley is a super village with great amenities, play park for kids, wonderful characterful pub with a great roast, and some awesome Gelato at Kimi’s. We really had a fabulous time.

    Excellent

And with our (new) dog, Bran. We were very lucky with the weather so we were able to go walking everyday. Love the facilities in the cottage and the facilities in and around Staveley. Recommend Wilf’s Cafe, Hawkshead Brewery, More? and Kimi’s Gelato. And not forgetting the local chippy as the battered fish is the best I’ve ever eaten.
