Ellerbeck Bridge is a well-received cottage in Kendal, praised for its spaciousness, comfortable furnishings, and beautiful garden with a creek. Guests enjoyed the property's warm, 'home away from home' feel, and its suitability for families and pets. The location is appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to local attractions, including a dog-friendly pub. While some minor maintenance issues were noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with most guests finding it well-maintained. A few guests mentioned minor issues such as surfaces needing a wipe down and a smell in the porch area, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is consistently praised for its beauty, tranquility, and convenience for exploring the Lake District. The proximity to a fantastic pub and the presence of wildlife add to the appeal, making the location highly regarded among guests.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of cosy furnishings, comfortable beds, and a welcoming atmosphere. Some guests noted issues with heating regulation and a desire for fans during a particularly hot week, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

The facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample space. Some guests noted minor maintenance issues such as loose fittings and a non-functioning dishwasher. The lack of a downstairs toilet was mentioned by several guests, suggesting room for improvement in facilities.

While some guests appreciated welcome packages and the provision of games, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures such as gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that while such touches are mentioned, they are not guaranteed for all stays.

The garden is also a delight and brightly planted. Great WiFi, games, heating system, car parking and multiple spaces to relax. Ideally located to Lake District towns, villages and attractions. Brilliant local walks and further afield. The Black Labrador pub selling real ale and homecooked food is next door. We loved our family stay and have booked again for next year. We had a couple of maintenance issues which we left a note about but they did not spoil our experience. Thank you.

Beautiful location. 1 downfall that was off putting- horrid smell in the porch/downstairs toilet. Standing water smell. As it was the first thing you experienced when walking into the property, or when coming downstairs in the morning this was a shame.

Plenty of room for the whole family, who all loved it - including the dogs. Very clean, everything in really good repair and lots of thoughtful things (games, air fryer, washing machine and dishwasher) to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Really effective heating throughout, although we couldn't seem to set it to a constant level (our shortcoming) and there was always ample hot water.. Found the sofa and chairs in the living room too soft and low for our taste, otherwise no complaints at all. We were all agreed that we would happily return another time.
