The garden is enjoyed by many, though it may require attention for dog security.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews indicate a mixed response to cleanliness, with several guests finding the property below expected standards, particularly with regards to sofas and kitchen equipment. However, others found the cottage clean and well-presented, suggesting inconsistency in cleaning quality.

The location is generally well-regarded for its proximity to local amenities and attractions, with a friendly village atmosphere. However, some guests have noted traffic noise as a downside, which affects the tranquillity expected from a cottage in this setting.

The majority of guests find the beds and sofas comfortable, and the property spacious enough for large groups and pets. A few guests noted issues with mattresses and living room furniture, but overall, the property is considered cosy and accommodating.

Facilities are generally adequate, with a well-equipped kitchen and good heating system. However, some guests suggest that bathroom overhauls and updates to kitchen utensils and furniture are needed. The garden and parking are appreciated, but some maintenance issues are mentioned.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtfulness of the welcome packs provided by the host, which include essentials and sometimes homemade cake. While these gifts are warmly received, it is important to note that such extras, while delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.

We had an issue with the heating but the owner resolved it very quickly and was really helpful throughout our stay there. We ate at the local pub (Kings Head) and the food was great. There is a good choice of shops in the village too.

The two bedrooms at the front have a great view of the church and the estuary beyond. There is a well-equipped kitchen and ample space downstairs. We parked four vehicles in the allocated space. Broughton is big enough to have most of what you could need; pubs, a café, excellent butchers and bakery. We ate at The Kings Head twice, fish and chips recommended. The Blacksmith's Arms in Broughton Mills was great for a celebration meal. The choices for walks from the house might be a bit limited but the southern lakeland and coastal routes are a short drive away.

There was a large, secure garden that was perfect for our three dogs. The house is in a delightful village with friendly people and family-run shops, and we found plenty of attractions within easy driving distance. Our host, Paul, was very helpful. All in all we had a great holiday.
