Snaptrip says

Guests appreciate the cottage's lovely views, proximity to the beach and local attractions, and the convenience of having a pub next door serving hearty food. The upside-down layout and the inclusion of amenities like Wi-Fi and a well-equipped kitchen are noted positives. However, some guests mention issues with cleanliness, road noise, and maintenance concerns.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, with some noting it as 'really clean' and 'extremely clean'. However, a few reviews mentioned substandard cleaning, dog hair on furniture, and a need for a deep clean, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is praised for its great views and proximity to the beach and western Lake District. However, several guests were bothered by the traffic noise from the nearby busy road, and some felt misled about the cottage's location, expecting it to be in a quieter, more tranquil setting.

Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, with comfortable beds and a warm atmosphere. Some guests, however, reported issues with road noise affecting sleep, uncomfortable furniture, and a lack of storage space for personal belongings.

Facilities like Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchen, and a new boiler were appreciated. Nonetheless, guests reported maintenance issues such as a broken shower, exposed bathroom bulb, and a loose bannister. The need for updates and repairs has been highlighted.

While some guests mentioned thoughtful touches like a welcome pack of treats and the inclusion of books and games, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to accurately assess the level of thoughtfulness in terms of gifts or extra touches. Therefore, this score is set to null.

Even just a blanket to use on the couch would've cozied it up a bit. There was no reception in the house and the wifi didn't work (only on the smart tv), which meant we were off grid for the week. There was also no way of contacting anyone to fix this. It could've been cleaner - washing machine was full of dog hair and some cooking utensils were greasy. I loved the top floor! The sun coming through the windows in the afternoon, the view across the fields was beautiful. I watched the lambs across the road all day. It's a nice spot to retreat to after long walks on the western side of Lake District.

Agree about the comments.of Road noise though, both bedrooms are downstairs at the front of the property do you cant escape it at night, you are right next to the busy road which did interupt my sleep. I would recommend but take ear plugs!
