The cottage offers far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside, off-road parking, and is pet-friendly, making an ideal base for a romantic getaway for two in Ireland. A small porch with seating welcomes you in before stepping into the beautifully furnished, open-plan living space with a combination of traditional and quirky décor. The sitting area is a relaxing spot where you can start the woodburning stove, choose a book or DVD from the selection, and sink into the armchairs. Set the table for four, whilst your other half prepares a home-cooked meal in the well-equipped kitchen complete with an electric oven and hob and a drinks tray ready for an afternoon tipple. Guests also have access to a shared laundry room and a front garden with outdoor seating to enjoy the lovely rural views. The hosts Abina and Tim were exceptional and added so much to our overall experience. Their hospitality, friendliness and knowledge of the area made our stay an experience we shall find hard to equal

They are super friendly, and will make sure you have everything you need. For example, the fire was blazing when we arrived after dark on our first night and the table was set ready for a meal. They also have a wealth of knowledge of the area which they are happy to share including lots of brochures for the local towns available in the porch for use during your stay. The cottage is in a great location for exploring as itâs quiet and remote with great views but is a close 5 minute drive to town with plenty of shops, pubs etc. Itâs well equipped in the kitchen for self catering and the bed was comfortable. The owner needs to set the boiler for the radiators but thereâs a fireplace for additional heating or drying wet clothes. A good traditional Irish farm stay.
